This live instructor-led course provides practical guidance to help employers meet their legislative obligations, respond appropriately to workplace incidents, and support effective return-to-work outcomes.
Prerequisite:Â WSIB Foundations is a prerequisite to attend the remaining courses and sessions
What You'll Learn
Participants will learn about:
- Employer obligations under the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act (WSIA)
- Employer responsibilities immediately following a workplace injury or incident
- The different types of WSIB benefits available to injured workers
- When, why, and how to report workplace injuries to the WSIB
- The consequences of claim suppression and strategies to ensure compliance
- An introduction to Return-to-Work (RTW) principles and employer obligations
Course Delivery
- Live instructor-led training delivered through Microsoft Teams
- Select your preferred training session during registration
- Your Microsoft Teams meeting link will be emailed approximately one business day before the course
- A Certificate of Completion and course materials will be provided following successful completion of the training
