Last Updated: August 2026

Workplace Injury Management Training (“WIMT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information you provide when using our website, registering for training, contacting us, or participating in our programs.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we may collect, how we use and protect it, and the choices available to you.

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide when you register for a training course, purchase training through our website, submit a contact or training inquiry form, communicate with us by email or telephone, create or use an online training account, or participate in training or other services provided by WIMT.

This information may include your name, email address, telephone number, organization or employer, billing information, selected training course and training date, and other information you choose to provide.

When online learning is available, we may also collect information related to your course participation, progress, completion and training records.

Payments

Online payments are processed securely through Stripe.

WIMT does not directly store your complete credit card information on our website. Payment information is processed by Stripe in accordance with its own privacy and security practices.

Information associated with a transaction, such as your name, contact information, amount paid, course purchased and transaction status, may be retained by WIMT for registration, accounting and record-keeping purposes.

Training Registration and Delivery

Information provided during registration is used to administer your training, including confirming your registration, communicating information about your scheduled training, sending training reminders and joining instructions, providing Microsoft Teams meeting information for remote training, responding to questions regarding your registration, and maintaining appropriate training and business records.

Where training is delivered through Microsoft Teams or another third-party platform, use of that service may also be subject to the privacy practices and terms of the applicable service provider.

Online Training Accounts

WIMT may offer online and self-directed training through its learning management system.

If you create or are provided with an online training account, we may collect and retain information necessary to administer that account and provide training services, including login information, course enrolment, course progress, completion status and related training records.

Account information is used only for legitimate training, administration, support and record-keeping purposes.

Contact and Inquiry Forms

When you submit a form through our website, we collect the information you provide so that we can respond to your request.

This may include inquiries regarding Supervisor Training, customized training, group training or other WIMT programs and services.

Submitting an inquiry does not automatically subscribe you to marketing communications.

Email Communications

We may use your email address to communicate with you about training for which you have registered or services you have requested.

These communications may include registration confirmations, training reminders, Microsoft Teams joining information, account information and other service-related messages.

If WIMT introduces optional marketing or promotional email communications, consent will be obtained where required by applicable Canadian law, and recipients will be provided with an appropriate method to unsubscribe.

Website Analytics and Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help the website function properly and to understand how visitors use the site.

We use Google Analytics to collect information about website usage, such as pages visited, general traffic sources, device and browser information, and interactions with the website.

This information helps us understand how visitors use the website and improve our content, training information and online services.

Google may process this information in accordance with its own privacy practices.

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect some website functionality.

Accounting and Business Records

Information associated with purchases and registrations may be transferred to or processed through accounting and business-management systems used by WIMT, including QuickBooks Online.

We retain appropriate transaction and business records as required for accounting, taxation, legal and administrative purposes.

Service Providers

We use trusted third-party service providers to operate our website and deliver our services.

Depending on the services you use, these providers may include companies that provide website hosting, payment processing, accounting, email delivery, website analytics, remote meeting and training technology, and learning management technology.

These providers may process personal information only as necessary to provide their respective services and are subject to their own privacy and security obligations.

Some service providers may process or store information outside Canada. Where this occurs, information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction in which it is processed or stored.

How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to process training registrations and payments, deliver training and related services, communicate with participants, respond to inquiries, maintain training and transaction records, provide customer and technical support, administer online training accounts, improve our website and training services, meet accounting, tax, regulatory and legal obligations, and protect the security and integrity of our website and systems.

We do not sell personal information.

How We Protect Information

We take reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, loss, misuse or alteration.

However, no website, electronic communication or online storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Retention of Personal Information

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide our services, maintain appropriate business and training records, and satisfy applicable legal, accounting and regulatory requirements.

When information is no longer required, it will be deleted, anonymized or securely disposed of where appropriate.

Accessing or Correcting Your Information

You may contact us to request access to personal information we hold about you or to request that inaccurate information be corrected.

You may also contact us with questions or concerns about how your personal information is collected, used or protected.

Certain information may need to be retained for legal, accounting, regulatory or legitimate business purposes even if you request its deletion.
